In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.

The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
