This weather system, which registered winds of up to 120 mph as of 6:00 AM GMT, is presently veering northwest in the Caribbean and is anticipated to hit the coast by Tuesday, according to hurricane specialists.

Advisories of electricity outages and structural damage have been released as this storm generates up to 76cm of precipitation and sea level surges as high as thirteen feet above typical tides. "Take cover without delay," locals have been urged.

Melissa is the thirteenth hurricane in the current Atlantic storm period, which normally finishes in the eleventh month.
