'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden significant trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
