The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
